WHAT SPARKED YOUR RESEARCH INTEREST?
When I transferred from CPCC, I started talking to professors who were doing robotics. Their guidance and encouragement fortified my knowledge in the field, paving the way for me to undertake research for the field. This not only allowed me to develop a passion for robotics but also immersed me in hands-on research.
HOW HAS YOUR RESEARCH CONTRIBUTED TO UNDERGRADUATE EXPERIENCE?
Overall, it was a benefit because it started to connect some of what I was learning. For example, I learned the fundamental math concepts in class and understood their applications through research. It’s basically connecting the classroom to the actual uses in the real world.
ADVICE TO SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO PURSUE RESEARCH WITH OUR?
My main advice would be to get involved with research and start talking to the professors. Many of them have opportunities or need help with their own research projects. Talk to them and ask if they have research that you can do.
